Processing your request takes
1 to 3 business days depending on the type of request.

Expect a transaction confirmation email once your request is complete.

Cash Withdrawal Request

A cash withdrawal request is anytime money is moving from a client account to a clients bank account. Processing takes 2-3 business days.

E.g. Client X would like $5,000 withdrawn from their TFSA to their bank account on file.

Cash Contribution Request

A cash contribution request is anytime money is moving from a client bank account to a clients account. Processing takes 2-3 business days.

E.g. Client X would like $5,000 contributed to their RRSP from their bank account on file.

Recurring Payment IN Change

A recurring payment in change is anytime that a payment coming into the clients account is started, stopped or modified. Processing takes 2-3 business days.

E.g. Please increase Client X’s monthly margin account contributions by $100 per month.

Recurring Payment OUT Change

A recurring payment Out change is anytime that a payment leaving the clients account is started, stopped or modified. Processing takes 2-3 business days.

E.g. Please increase Client X’s monthly margin withdrawal by $100 per month.

Security/Cash Transfer Between Accounts

A security/cash transfer between accounts is anytime that a security or cash are transferred between accounts. Cut-off time is 3PM EST, processing 1-2 business days.

E.g. Please transfer $6,500 from Client X’s margin account to their TFSA.

Existing Account - Transfer IN Request

A transfer of an existing account is needed any time a client has an existing account elsewhere, and wishes to move it to CFG. Cut-off time is 3PM EST, processing 1-2 business days.

E.g. Please transfer TFSA account from Client X’s current bank.

Open Additional Account for Existing Client

Open a new account for an existing client that may require multiple accounts. Cut-off time is 3PM EST, processing 1-2 business days.

E.g. Please create a new TFSA account for client X.

Client Online Access Request

A client online access request form is used anytime a client needs assistance resetting either MyPortfolio+ or WebInvestor. Cut-off time is 3PM EST, processing 2-3 business days.

E.g. Please have Client X’s MyPortfolio+ password reset.

Name/Address/Email Update Request

A name/address/email update request is to be used when a clients non-financial information requires an update. Please note that a signed letter of direction is required. Processing takes 1-3 business days.

E.g. Please update that Client X has moved from address Y to address Z.

Add a Trusted Contact

Add a trusted contact request is anytime a client is adding or modifying their trusted contact. The trusted contact form can be found under investor resources and signed and submitted directly through Acrobat OR attached here, via client services. Processing takes 1-2 business days.

E.g. Please find the attached trusted contact form for Client X.

Know Your Client (KYC) Update

A KYC update form should be updated at a minimum annually with each client. The KYC form can be found under investor resources and digitally signed and submitted through Adobe Sign. OR uploaded here as a signed, scanned PDF. Completion dependent on PM scheduling of a compliance call.

E.g. Please find the attached KYC form for Client X.

Request to Change Banking information

A banking change is needed any time the client changes their bank or bank account details. Cut-off time is 3PM EST, processing 1-2 business days.

E.g. Please change banking information for Client X.

Request to Update Beneficiary

A beneficiary update is needed any time the client changes their will. Cut-off time is 3PM EST, processing 1-2 business days.

Note: CFG will send out the required prefilled NBIN form for the client to sign based on the information submitted.
