Investor Profile Review Call – An Introduction
The Investor Profile Review is one of the first—and arguably most important—steps in ensuring we deliver investment management services tailored to your specific needs.
Here is what you need to know about this step:
- Your advisor will coordinate with a member of the Croft Financial Group Portfolio Management team to schedule a time to complete the Investor Profile Review with you.
- This discussion is typically completed by video conference or phone call and will usually take between 40 minutes and one hour.
- All clients whose name appears as an owner on an account must participate in the discussion.
- One of Croft Financial Group’s experienced Portfolio Managers or Associate Portfolio Managers will conduct the review.
- Prior to the discussion, you will receive an Investor Profile Questionnaire (IPQ) and a copy of our Managed Investment Account Agreement (MIAA) for review and discussion.
What happens during this discussion?
- Typically you will complete the questionnaire together with your advisor or someone from Croft Financial Group PM Team.
- One questionnaire is completed per household, and all clients must participate.
- Typically, this discussion will include additional follow-up questions from all parties.
- The results of that questionnaire help to determine which investment mandate is most appropriate for you.
- That investment mandate is discussed and confirmed, and the MIAA is completed.
How can you prepare for the Investor Profile Review?
- Please ensure you are in a comfortable environment that will allow you to get the most out of the discussion.
- Please ensure that all parties whose name will appear on investment accounts are available.
- Please review the questionnaire and gather information to help you provide the most accurate answers during the discussion.
- Please consider and make note of questions you have for us.

Will you need to complete another Investor Profile Review in the future?
Yes, quite possibly – the Investor Profile Review is a tool to help provide us with an accurate picture of your investment needs and risk tolerance. However, you may experience changes with respect to such areas as your employment and income circumstances, your investment time horizon, your health, and more. When this is the case, you will need to speak with your Croft Financial Group Portfolio Manager.
You are always welcome to reach out to us if you feel that significant change has occurred in your life, and you can expect that we will proactively inquire about changes in your life from time to time. We will then complete another Investor Profile Review to help us continue to manage the funds you entrust to us in the most suitable way for you.
