Depositing Funds into a Client Account

Client Initiated Deposit – Client Push 

  1. By Cheque – Cheques should be made payable to NBIN and reference the client’s 7-digit account number. Bank drafts require written verification that the funds were drawn from the client’s bank account
  2. Online Bill Payment – Select NBIN and enter the 7-digit NBIN account number as the bill payee. Please note: This is not available for RESP, RRIF, RDSP account types.

Timeline:

  1. Payments are typically processed within 2–4 business days, depending on your financial institution.

Client Initiated Deposit – Croft Pull 

  1. NBIN Pulls Money from Client Bank Account (EFT in) – The Client Authorization for Electronic Funds Transfer Form on file or be completed and uploaded with a copy of a void cheque or completed Bank Direct Deposit Form. Don’t forget to send an email to admin@croftgroup.com to let Croft know there is an actionable item in your Upload Folder.
  2. Account transfer from another institution – Depending on the account type one of the following transfer forms must be completed.
    1. Non-Registered Transfer Form 
    2. Registered Transfer Form 

Systematic Recurring Deposits

To setup a systematic recurring deposit (PAD)the client must sign a Letter of Direction requesting the amount and frequency of the deposit. Amounts will be pulled from the client bank account information linked to the account. If a different bank account belonging to the client is to be used, a new completed Client Authorization for Electronic Funds Transfer Form must be completed and uploaded with a copy of a void cheque or a completed Bank Direct Deposit Form. Please use CLIENT SERVICE REQUESTS forms to let CFG know there is an actionable item.
